Mashery Hummus Kitchen

2017 — today

Mashery set out to do what no one in Cologne had done before: give hummus the spotlight it deserves. What started as a humble street food stand grew into the city’s first dedicated hummus bar – a bright, welcoming space serving bold, fresh Levantine flavors with love and precision.

From the very beginning, I had the pleasure of shaping Mashery’s visual world. Inspired by the structured elegance of Kufic script and the playfulness of modern street food culture, we developed a design language that reflected their mission: fresh, joyful, and unapologetically chickpea-centric. Together, we created everything from menus, postcards, and loyalty cards to posters, stamps, stickers, and in-store signage.

As the brand grew, so did our collaboration. I redesigned the logo, built the website, and developed an interactive online menu to support Mashery’s expanding catering services. Every design decision — from typography to interface — was made with the same care and clarity Mashery brings to their food: no shortcuts, no filler, just quality.

Our work together is ongoing. What makes this project so special is the spirit behind it — a true passion for community, great ingredients, and meaningful design. It’s been an honor to support Mashery on their journey, one roasted eggplant at a time.
